I am

a writer

based in the

City of New York.

I was a small child when I began writing—in my diaries with little locks and hairpin keys, on the walls until my mother would force me to erase it with a rag and some soap.

I spent a lot of my adolescent years documenting what it was that I saw, that I felt, that I thought.

For four years I studied journalism at Humber Polytechnic in Toronto, Canada. I was taught and mentored by many former and current journalists at CBC, the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and even the Vancouver Sun.

Through school I wrote of the community around me—at school, at home, at my part-time job—for my school’s publications and eventually at a local paper I interned at. There was a lot of room to explore beats—from politics and data storytelling to the arts and entertainment. Ultimately, people are my favorite subjects.

Since living in New YorkI have written short stories and poetry. Often times I am overwhelmed with the abundance of stories that exist in this place I live in.

I am

afraid of

the day that

I find nothing

more to say.
