Southwood classmates reunite to form Toronto band The Stars In Our Eyes

Two former high school friends from Cambridge who lost track of each other after graduation and reconnected after more than two decades apart hae started a band together nearly 15 years after a Facebook exchange. 

The Stars In Our Eyes is made up of Jeff Brown and Thom Sears, and they had first met while attending Southwood Secondary School. 

Like most high school friendships, they didn’t keep in touch after Brown moved to Vancouver and Sears moved to Toronto to study and pursue his career in acting.  Sears stayed in Toronto and eventually Brown made the move there from Vancouver.  

Now 55, Sears stuck with acting, appearing regularly on shows like Murdoch Mysteries, but he had also started posting his solo music online. Last April, Brown discovered his old friend's solo music and reached out to propose a collaboration.
